A scary scene played out in a Dublin, California water park on Saturday, when a 10-year-old boy suddenly flew off a new water slide toward the end and landed on concrete walkway.
The boy was at the Wave at Emerald Green Park, riding the Emerald Plunge slide, a three-story slide which has a drop at an 80-degree angle. Riders for the slide must meet the 4-foot height requirement.
As you can see from the video, near the bottom of the slide, the boy skidded off the chute and onto the concrete feet first. The boy got up and walked away from the experience, shaken a bit and scraped up, but otherwise ok, according to witnesses.
The slide and the adjacent slide were closed indefinitely so officials from Cal OSHA could investigate what happened.
