Pepsi has decided to pull their new advertisement featuring Kendall Jenner after it was met with criticism and backlash.
The two and half minute video shows Jenner in the middle of a protest. She is then shown taking a Pepsi, walking through the crowd, and delivering the soda to a police officer working in the area.
Pepsi released the following statement today, one day after releasing the commercial:
"Pepsi was trying to project a global a message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."
