A mother was arrested for attacking teen at a high school

A mother is facing multiple charges including “strong-armed robbery, child abuse and aggravated battery.”

Ernstlatta LaFrance, 30, arrived at Carol City Senior High School on Monday, approached a teen, knocked a cell phone out of their hand and proceeded to hit her many times.

The reason behind the brutal confrontation started with LaFrance’s teenage daughter. Her daughter got in a fight with a group of other girls at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition.

But the incident didn't end there.

Later that day, the teenage victim showed up at LaFrance’s home to get her cell phone back. LaFrance got an ax and pulverized the girl’s car and then broke the teen’s middle finger with a stick, according to police.

At that same time, LaFrance’s partner, Erlisa Evans, came from outside from the house with a gun and fired three shots in the air.

LaFrance went to Facebook to post a video of the fight.

“The defendant also bragged on Facebook telling the victim that suffering two black eyes was not the end and she would use a gun,” said the officer on the case.

Evans is being held for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun in public, while LaFrance was held Wednesday on a $38,000 bond.
