FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a Fullerton police officer is accused of filing a false report after he stated that a suspect resisted arrest when body camera footage showed otherwise.

The Orange County Register reports 51-year-old Miguel Siliceo was charged Wednesday with one felony count of false report by a peace officer. If convicted, he could face three years in jail.

Prosecutors say video does not corroborate Siliceo's official account that a suspect arrested in 2015 charged at his partner.

Resisting arrest charges against the suspect were dropped.

Siliceo is on administrative leave. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
