Teen questioned after online threat leads to school lockdown

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police are questioning a 16-year-old student in connection with a school-shooting threat on social media that prompted authorities to lock down a high school campus.

Detective Meghan Aguilar says the student was detained shortly after Ulysses S. Grant High in Valley Glenn was locked down Monday morning.

Aguilar says another student spotted the threatening social media post and showed it to his father. The father called police.

The Daily News reports the threat accompanied a photo of guns.

The lockdown ended within about two hours after a search of the school found nothing suspicious.
