Berry picking robots will soon replace immigrant workers

The techies in Silicon Valley have been very anti-Trump, but one small area of the tech business sees an opportunity.

Farmers have seen a drop in immigrants in the workforce, and now they're looking to robots to fill the gap and potentially take over the jobs completely.

The technology is still in the early stages, but the demand for berry picking drones and other farming bots is likely to increase if Trump goes through with his immigration promises.

California has about 330,000 farm workers, and as many as 80% of them are illegals.

It only makes sense to replace them with robots.  Not only will bring more efficiency to the job, the state and farmers can finally stop hiring illegal immigrants.
