This tall teen doesn't look real but he loves basketball

Robert Bobroczky is 7 feet 7 inches tall at the age of 16, and he loves basketball. He spent two years with the Italian club team, Stella Azzurra, before he enrolled at Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio. He made the varsity team but his coach is more focused on making sure he feels acclimated to his new life and that he adjusts to the fast paced American-style of basketball.

Bobroczky comes from a basketball family, his dad was on the Romanian national team with Gheorghe Muresan, who was the tallest player in NBA history at 7 feet 7 inches. If Bobroczky, who was almost 7 feet tall at the age of 12, continues to train and grow he could be the tallest basketball player in NBA history.

But for now his coach told the New York Post that their focus is on the basics and the love of the game:

“I tell him, I don’t care if you score a point or grab a rebound,” Bossman said. “We want you to be comfortable, we want you to have fun, and everything else will take care of itself.”
