3 arrested after break-in at La Habra motorcycle dealership

LA HABRA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Orange County say thieves smashed the window of a La Habra motorcycle dealership and stole several bikes, and police arrested three suspects after a chase.

La Habra police Sgt. Ron Hurst says the break-in was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Hurst says officers in the area spotted two vehicles — a large U-Haul truck and a car — leaving the dealership and heading separate ways.The driver of the car was arrested in La Mirada. After a pursuit the U-Haul truck stopped in Watts,where three occupants took off running. Police arrested two men, but a third remains at large.

KABC-TV reports the thieves stole at least 8 motorcycles. One bike was left hanging halfway out of the shattered store window as the men fled.
