The San Antonio Spurs recently hired Becky Hammon as an assistant coach, making her the first full-time female coach for an NBA team.  

Although women don't have the hold on basketball coaching that they used to, advances like Hammon's do show some upward movement in the ranks.

The question still remains, though, will a woman ever get a spot as a NBA head coach, and will the men get over themselves and accept her if it happens?
