The decision to post a tweet related to the confilct between Israel and Palestine was viewed by many as a step out of line. On Tuesday Rihanna posted '#FreePalestine' and deleted it just eight minutes later. The singer, who is from Barbados, received backlash from most of her fans, a friend said Rihanna 'didn't even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from fans'.
The pop star's response after her 'errant' tweet was a post that was much lighter: 'Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world'. In a press conference Rihanna openly apologized for her comments. In her defense, she isn't the first star to make an out-of-bounds comment.
