According to the OC Register, the city councils of Placentia and Stanton are going to be asking for a sales tax increase from their residents.

Currently in Orange County, La Habra is the only city with a local sales tax set a half cent.

They city councils in Placentia and Stanton are recommending that they create their own city sales tax.  Placentia is asking for a half-cent increase which would generate $2.4 million a year.  Stanton is asking for a full cent tax which would bring in $3.1 million a year.
