According to the LA Daily News, California's high speed rail train may be making a comeback after lawsuits seemed to have been slowing progress.

Those lawsuits have not been resolved yet, but demolition bagan last week in Fresno to clear the way for the first stretch of railway track and private investors are now showing new interest in funding part of the $68 billion needed to build the project.

There are those who are still doubtful that the train will take off.  Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who is the incoming House majority leader, said last week that will do what he can to kill the project saying, “If Sacramento looks to Washington to pay for the train, that will never happen.”
