According to the LA Times, one LA school official who is under scrutiny for his role in the LAUSD iPad program is defending himself, saying he did not steer the contract to a company the employed him before.
Former Deputy Supt. Jaime Aquino said he has nothing to hide and did everything "by the book."
Aquino is facing criticism for correspondence with education company Pearson, which was chosen to provide the curriculum for the district's iPad program. Aquino had worked for a Pearson subsidiary before joining the district.
