Woman Stops Attempted Mugging by Faking Seizure

A BART passenger was given a note threatening her life if she didn't hand over her belongings.

However, the woman was able to stop the attempted robbery by having an unusual response....she faked a seizure.

Julie Dragland said the incident happened when she was taking the train to the East Bay when someone behind her passed her a note.

"There are 2 guns pointed at you now. If you want to live hand back your wallet + phone NOW + do not turn around and be discreet. Do not turn around until after you have left Civic Center + you will live."

Panicking, Dragland tried to mouth the word "help" to another passenger to no avail.

Instead, the 32 year old decided to shake, cry and slump over which then caught the attention of other passengers.

Eventually the would be robber, a white woman with a wheeled suitcase, was seen on surveillance leaving the train.

Dragland later said the idea to fake a seizure came because she watches a lot of "Law & Order".
