LOS ANGELES (CNS ) - Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a large pallet yard in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Saturday.
Fire crews were called at 2:51 a.m. to 725 Merchant St. west of Central Avenue where they found and extinguished the blaze, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
It took 70 firefighters 41 minutes to put out the flames.
Firefighters will remain on the scene to uncover and eliminate remaining hot spots among the debris, Prange said.
