Every year, more than 800,000 people die by committing suicide and almost 25 times as many try to make an attempt.

To raise awareness about prevention, the theme of the 2017 World Suicide Prevention Day is ‘Take a minute, change a life.’

The International Association for Suicide Prevention has reported that those who have lived through a suicide attempt have said how important the words and actions of others are.

If you or anyone else you know is contemplating suicide or just need a hand, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at  1-800-273-8255 or visit their website HERE for more resources.
