The father from South Pasadena accused of killing his own son arrived by private plane at Long Beach Airport Friday, a week after he was charged with murder.

Aramazd Andressian, Sr. was arrested last week in Las Vegas where detectives said he'd spent much of the last two months "socializing" -- while deputies and volunteers searched frantically for 5-year-old Aramazd Andressian, Jr.

The boy, nicknamed "Piqui" by his mother, was last seen with his father at Disneyland the night of April 20.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department said even though no body has been found, physical and circumstantial evidence will show the boy was murdered that night and his body likely dumped near Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara County.

Andressian, Sr. was flown aboard the Sheriff's Department's twin-engine King Air airplane from McCarran International airport in Las Vegas to Long Beach airport, where the Sheriff's Department's aviation unit is based.

The flight lasted about one hour, according to a flight plan.
