Smartphone displays may soon be a relic of the past.

Google's senior engineering director says the future will bring us display-free mobile devices that rely on voice commands and feedback.

Scott Huffman says we're becoming surrounded by computing devices, and more and more of them won't have display screens or keyboards.

The trend is already starting: Google's numbers show 3% of Americans uses voice controls daily on their Android devices.

More than half of us have a smartphone with voice controls. Half of those people use the feature more than once each month, with one in five using it daily.
