LONG BEACH (CNS) - Long Beach police will canvass a neighborhood today, knocking on doors and passing out flyers, as they search for a serial groper who's been operating in the city for the past year.
Today's operation will center on the neighborhood around 5th Street and Alamitos Avenue and run from 10:30 a.m. to noon, according to the LBPD.
The man who police are searching for first struck on Sept. 1, 2012, according to authorities.
Since that time, he is suspected in a total of 35 incidents of sexual battery. The victims have ranged in age from 12 to the mid 60s, according to the LBPD.

Victims have described the suspect as a White or Hispanic male, between five feet six inches and 6 feet tall. He is believed to weigh between 180 and 240 pounds with gray or black hair.
Some victims said his age ranged from 25 to 50, but police say a majority of the women place his age closer to 35 to 45 years old.
Police also released video from security cameras of the suspect in two separate incidents.
Anyone who may have been victimized by this man and not yet reported the battery or anyone with information on his identity and whereabouts was asked to call LBPD Sex Crimes Detective Louis Galvan at (562) 570-6407.
