Leading Cause Of Death In US Could Change
The leading cause of death in America is heart disease, but that will change.

According to a new report from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, in 16 years the number one killer in the US will be cancer.

The number of new cancer cases is expected to go up about 45% by 2030, from 1.6 million to 2.3 million cases every year. This will cause a heavier burden on a field of medicine already trying to deal with doctor shortages and financial difficulties.

Adding to the burden will be an increase in the number of cancer survivors. Fifty years ago, only a handful of treatments for cancer existed.

Today, there are more than 170 FDA-approved anti-cancer drugs.
