A bond oversight committee says it has a list of concerns about the L.A. school district’s iPad plan.

Committee chair Stephen English says the numbers don’t add up.

"Now you might be able to explain to me how you got $67,000, but the formula you put into these materials doesn't do it."

When English calculated the numbers he came up with 55,000 tablets in the latest phase of the project.

Another member says he’s worried three days of teacher iPad training isn’t enough.

The same member says the district is rushing to spend $1-billion dollars without having a clear way of evaluating the success or failure of the plan.
