LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Hyun-Jin Ryu and two relievers combined on a four- hit shutout as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-0, in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series today at Dodger Stadium.

The victory cuts St. Louis' lead in the best-of-seven series to two games to one. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers scored twice in the fourth inning, ending a streak of 22 scoreless innings. Mark Ellis led off with a double and scored one out later on Adrian Gonzalez's double. Yasiel Puig tripled in Gonzalez one out later after being hitless in his first 11 at-bats in the series.

The Dodgers added a run in the eighth. Carl Crawford singled with one out, moved to second on Ellis' single and scored on Hanley Ramirez's single.

Ryu allowed three hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one after allowing four runs and six hits over three innings in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Oct. 6 in his only other postseason appearance.

Brian Wilson pitched a shutout eighth, allowing one hit and striking out two. Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth for the save.

Adam Wainwright took the loss, allowing two runs and six hits over seven innings, striking out five and not walking a batter.
