University of California and California State University employees earning six-figure paychecks has reached 25% over the past four years.

The OC Register reports their pay has increased while tuition costs soar and state funding plummets.

The majority of the employees earning at least $100,000 were employed by the UC-system as its research and medical center operations employs about 3 ½ times the number of employees in the CSU system.

The CSU system, meanwhile, serves about three times the amount of students at UC schools.
