The use of Adderall and other stimulants in the workplace is going up.

According to IMS Health more than 5 and a half million monthly prescriptions for ADHD medications were written for people between 20 and 39 in 2007.

By 2011, that number had jumped to 14 million, and that's not counting people taking them without prescriptions.

Some psychiatrists blame modern culture for demonizing not being busy every minute of the day, and they say this creates guilt in young people just starting out in their careers, leading them to use stimulants and other medication to get ahead.
